The basis of this digital project would be to supplement the existing wealth of resources and knowledge provided through the Robben Island Museum.

Our proposal is to create an augmented reality experience that would enable site visitors worldwide to immerse themselves in the emotional and awe-inspiring history and cultural heritage of Robben Island.

Through this AR experience, our project will utilize many of the assets already owned by the Robben Island Museum to overlay prisoner stories, oral histories, and conservation knowledge to hopefully boost tourism, research, and funding possibilities for the project.

Overall we want to relay the fact that all of humanity is impacted by the history of apartheid.
